• 영문초록 : The purpose of this study is to investigate the real aspects that female household heads are experiencing when they utilize services from local family welfare centers and actions/interactions that are taking place in their service utilization process. To substantiate the purpose of this study, I applied ground theory method which is appropriate for process research. I performed an in-depth interview, selecting 9 female household heads as my research participants who had experienced services from family welfare centers in Pusan area. 11categories, 33 subcategories and 151 concepts were deduced from this research and 'to overcome restrictions on service utilization process, adapting service utilization strategies' proved to be the core categories. Followings are the summary of the research results. First, the poor living conditions of those female household heads themselves became a restriction on their service utilization. Second, their service utilization strategies changed from 'passive resource searching' to 'active resource searching' and finally to 'distortion' and selectivity criteria affected this 'distortion'. Third, their service utilization experience turned out to be 'credibility expansion', 'incredibility', and 'confirmation of insatiability of their expectation'.

연구의 목적은 여성가장이 서비스 이용과정에서 경험하고 있는 실체가 무엇이며, 그 이용과정에는 어떠한 작용/상호작용이 일어나고 있는가를 조사하여 보다 바람직한 서비스 이용과정을 위한 경험적 자료를 확보하는 것이다. 연구목적에 충실하기 위하여 질적 연구 중 과정연구에 적절한 근거이론 방법을 적용하였다. 부산지역의 가족복지서비스 제공기관에서 서비스를 받은 경험이 있는 9명의 한부모 여성가장을 연구참여자로 선정하여 심층면접 하였다. 11개의 범주와 33개의 하위범주, 151개의 개념이 도출되었으며, 핵심범주는 ‘서비스 이용전략을 활용하여, 서비스 이용과정에 있는 제약조건을 극복하기’로 나타났다. 연구결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여성가장의 열악한 생활환경 자체가 서비스 이용을 제한하는 조건이 되었다. 둘째, 서비스 이용전략은 ‘소극적 자원모색’, ‘적극적 자원모색’으로 변화하다가 ‘왜곡’으로 변형되는데, 선별기준 장애가 ‘왜곡’에 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 서비스이용 경험은 ‘신뢰확장’, ‘반신반의’, ‘기대차이 확인’으로 나타났다.
