• 영문초록 : The changes Korean society has been facing recently are related to the changes in sexuality and intimacy. Especially, the fast development and diffusion of information technology not only spread the culture more open to sexuality but also expand the social receptivity towards sexual desires. In fact, for younger generations, straightforward and active sexual expressions are rather common. Even teenagers show their own sexual culture. However, most teenagers still suffer from pressures related studies and their sexual desires are bound to be suppressed rather than expressed in a culture where an entire family concentrates on improving the offspring's education. With that in mind, this paper aims to see sexual awareness and behavior of teenagers through looking at their pregnancy and rearing while discussing what the main momentum for teenagers is in expressing their sexual desires as being a subjective. Also, looking at how teenagers conflict with social norms as they choose pregnancy, childbirth, and caring and grow into an agent of nurturing while facing social prejudices and exclusions that view them as a deviation from the social norms.

최근의 사회 변화는 가족 안팎에서 새롭게 정의되는 친밀성과 섹슈얼리티의 변화와 무관하지 않을 만큼, 성의식과 성적 욕망이 대단히 빠르고 다양하게 변화하고 있다. 특히 정보통신기술의 발달은 개방적인 성문화의 동조화를 초래하면서 성적 욕망에 대한 사회적 수용성 또한 확대되고 있다. 실제로 젊은 세대에게 있어 개방적인 성문화는 더이상 생경한 것이 아니며, 십대 청소년 역시 자신들만의 성문화를 표출하고 있다. 그러나 여전히 대다수의 청소년들은 학업 압력에 시달리고 있으며, 자녀 교육을 위해 가족자원을 총동원하는 우리 현실에서 이들의 성적 욕망은 상당 부분 봉쇄당하고 있는 것이 사실이다. 이에 본고는 십대 청소년들의 임신 및 출산 과정을 통해 부분적이나마 이들의 성의식과 성행동의 특성을 살펴보고, 이들이 성적 주체자로서 자신들의 욕망을 표출하는 주요 계기가 무엇인가를 살펴볼 것이다. 또한 십대 청소년들이 임신과 출산, 자녀양육을 선택하는 과정에서 당면하는 사회적 규범과의 갈등, 즉 성 · 가족규범의 일탈자라는 사회적 편견과 배제의 과정을 살펴보고, 이들이 자녀양육의 경험을 통해 주체와 타자의 경계에서 스스로 주체자로 성장해 가는 일련의 과정을 분석하고 있다.
