• 영문초록 : The goals of the present study are to apply a school-based group program utilizing recognition behavior theory and to verify the effect, in order for youths from divorced families to have affirmative attitude toward parents’ divorce, and to promote their abilities to cope with psychosocial problems. Through this study, the present researcher tried to provide social workers’ intervention plan for promoting psychosocial adaptation of youths from divorced families. For this purpose, in the present study, subjects of the program include 7 female middle school students in the third grade, who agreed to participate in the program. The youths from divorced families, as chosen, are within 3 years from parents’ divorce. In the present study, both quantitative research, a single group pre-post test was used for research plan. In the qualitative research, the content was analyze the basis of data prepared by each member of the group, data recorded by the present researcher, and assessment paper recording the group process. The following is the result of enforcing a school-based post-divorce adaptation program: First, youths from divorced families showed an enhanced self-respect after intervention. Second, youths from divorced families showed a reduced depression anxiety after intervention. Third, youths from divorced families showed an enhanced ability to cope with actualproblems after parents’ divorce in a post-divorce adaptation program utilizing recognition behavior approach. Fourth, an individual interview with a group member in the process of the program, which complies with each member’s need, increased the effect of the program.

최근 한국 사회의 구조적인 변화 움직임 가운데 가족구조의 변화는 언론과 학계의 특별한 주목을 받고 있다. 가족구조의 변화를 가져온 요인으로 한 때 세계 2위였던 높은 이혼율을 가장 중요한 요인이다. 이혼 외에도 질병이나 사고로 인한 부모의 사망으로 아동이나 청소년이 부 또는 모 한쪽과 생활하는 한부모 가정의 수가 빠른 속도록 증가하고있따. 이들 한부모 가정의 자녀들으 그렇지 않은 가정의 자녀들에 비해 성장발달과정과 학습, 교우관계 등에서 더 많은 어려움을 겪고 있어 이들에 대한 실태파악과 적절한 서비스의 개발이 요청되고 있다.
